Born and raised in Alliston, Brittany received her diploma in massage therapy in 2012 at Georgian College Barrie, Ontario. She practiced massage in her hometown in Alliston for two years and then decided to try something new and move to Fort McMurray, Alberta in January 2014. Brittany worked at a multidiscipline clinic in Fort McMurray for almost 3 years and decided to move back home to be closer to her family in May 2016. She quickly fell in love with Georgian Bay and moved to Midland with her Husband Daniel and her dog Jasper. Brittany got all settled in to her new home and started to work at a clinic in Midland In June. Not soon after, she found out she was excepting her first son in May 2017. Taking some time off to enjoy motherhood, Brittany is ready and eager to get back to her passion in treating her clients.

Brittany Keefe- Certified Labour and Postpartum Doula

In addition to supporting Mom's in prenatal massage, Brittany always had the passion of understanding Mom's and their fears/desires in labour. Being a massage therapist, you get to know your clients very well over a period of time! Providing prenatal massages is such an experience, getting to hear her client’s birth stories and feeling the baby move around while massaging was absolutely fascinating. Brittany always had an interest in pregnancy and birth but it wasn’t until she was present for her nephew's birth that she knew Doula'ing was her true calling. She feels that being an RMT and a Doula is an incredible asset to pregnant and labouring mothers in our community.

Brittany had the opportunity to take the CAPPA Birth Doula training course in Fort McMurray and after attending this course Brittany was so excited to start her passion helping mothers with birth and with postpartum care. She has attended and helped support numerous women in their birth while using a variety of comfort measures to help mothers create a positive birth atmosphere, visual birth plan and birth wishes.

As a doula, Brittany supports mothers by telephone, text or email as needed during pregnancy and immediate postpartum, 24-hour on-call availability throughout your pregnancy and labour support from active labour until the birth of your baby. Brittany goes into the birth room with an open mind and heart and going with what you believe in and staying true to your self during this special time.

She uses her knowledge in massage to alleviate pain and discomfort in birth by using a variety of massages techniques. She is a highly sought after addition to the birth room.

Brittany is looking forward to helping families and is now accepting new clients for birth and postpartum support.
